_Text: 1Jn 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. 14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abided in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one._
1. What does it mean to be a member of the Universal body of Christ? 2. What would God have you do? 3. How do you grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? 4. Are you being equipped to do the work of the Lord? 5. Are you aglow with the Holy Spirit in service? 6. Have you understood that the work of the Lord is not limited but universal?
Dear grandparent, parent, guardian, teacher, son and daughter, in our walk with the Lord, he has made provision for our growing as units in one body for the common good and strengthening of the family of Christ wherever two or more people join together in his name. What a great opportunity for the community of Christians home, school, fellowship, local congregation etc. to develop in the various units, functioning in support and complementing each other to complete the amazing and victorious purpose of the 'whole' body of Christ.
This week, let’s take a look at life as a member of the Christ family, the individual role in the body of Christ. *In devoting time through the attached teaching and learning of the Body Life Ministry;*
1. Each member is expected to understand that if truly we have believed in Christ as our personal Savior and Lord, then individually we are members of His invisible Body (the universal Church).
2. Everyone should have a working revelation knowledge that we have been called, given a ministry, spiritual gifts, a measure of grace and faith to function in the body of Christ for the common good of everyone.
3. To understand that to be effective we must work as a team (unity).
2Pe 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
Heb 13:20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in you that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
